Deeva Gordon began her career in the Arts as a grade school student singing, acting and mastering all woodwind instruments in the city of Philadelphia, PA. Born and raised in the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia Deeva traveled to North Philadelphia to attend Franklin Learning Center where she furthered her studies in the Arts. With her love for performing, Deeva took all opportunities to sing, act, and write which allowed her the opportunity to be apart of many productions, including a raving Solo vocal performance reviewed in The Philadelphia's Inquire Newspaper. She continued her talents while attending Cheyney University touring as a freshman which was a first in the Arts Department. Deeva continued to expand her talents on many stages, expanding to New York, NY, where she is a current member of Theater for a New Generation in New York, NY. As well as Destiny Theater Ensemble Productions in Phila, PA, and Purposed Child Unlimited Theater group in Wilmington, DE. While mastering her many talents some of her theater roles include: (lead role) as Ms. Lula in "A New Day", (lead role) as Michelle in an original play " Saved by Graced", Dinah Washington in "A New Shade of Blue", and co-starred as Ronetta in "Diary of a Homegirl" in a Theater For A New Generation New York, New York production and quite a few others. Her love for the stage fueled her passion to obtain her own entertainment company to provide opportunities for others. In 2008 she gave birth to Deeva Entertainment Unlimited Productions LLC in hopes that her company can be a combined effort with its members to display their work through theater and film. Deeva has written, directed, and produced multiple productions such as Lord I Prayed, Lindsey's Lesson, Is God Enough, Have You Seen Her, Dirty Laundry, and The Faces of Life. Deeva has held productions at Freedom Theater, The Walnut Street Theater, and Stagecrafters Theater in Chestnut Hill, PA. While she successfully runs her own entertainment company she enjoyed working on "Brotherly Love" film directed by Philadelphia's own Jamal Hill. Deeva's contribution to entertainment has a purpose. That purpose is to bring real life issues to her audience for awareness, She has touched on many subjects such as Rape, Cancer, AIDS, Domestic Violence etc. Her idea is to entertain and educate as many people as possible while she has a pen, through drama, action, and comedy while she has a platform, and audience. Deeva Entertainment Unlimited Productions LLC was also developed as a tool to give opportunities for Actors seasoned and unseasoned to display their talents to further their careers. Deeva Gordon firmly believes in giving back and never giving up!
