Brian Wilson is an Emmy-winning NYC-based filmmaker who co-wrote and co-edited 2019 feature documentary The Story of Plastic (2019), which addresses the global plastic crisis. It aired on Discovery Channel, received numerous awards and nominations - including winning the 2020 Emmy for Best Documentary Writing, as well as nominations for the Griersons and the Environmental Media Awards - and continues to screen internationally. The 2014 feature documentary that Brian co-directed and co-edited, A Will for the Woods (2014), tells the story of a North Carolina man with terminal lymphoma who is determined to receive a natural burial and help save a tract of local woods from being clear-cut. It aired on PBS and World Channel stations throughout the US, won nine awards on the festival circuit, and continues to be a touchstone film of the conservation burial movement. Brian has also edited a wide range of shorter and medium-length works over his 20-plus year career.
