Miguel Yarull, born in Santo Domingo in 1971, starts out writing short stories. His first full feature script, "La Gunguna" premiered in 2015. The film is embraced by critics and the public alike, setting a new standard in the vibrant Dominican cinema scene. Miguel has won the prestigious "La Silla" award for best screenplay on two occasions, as well as several literary awards and recognitions. He lives and writes in the DR, with his wife and two children.
