Marcus Goldhahn

Marcus is an author, journalist, photographer, director, and film producer. Born in Erfurt he studied economics and has written articles for numerous German and Swiss papers and magazines. Marcus gathered his first experiences as a documentary filmmaker for a German singer/songwriter. Among the drummer from Pearl Jam Dave Krusen and members from the Band Blind Melon he filmed in a studio in Nashville there recording. Since 2011 he worked in various departments on television drama, and series like "Nackt unter Wölen", "Betonrausch", "Save me", "Suspiria", "Bumer in Berlin", "Die Threapie", and independent feature films like "Zum Geburtstag", "Herbert", "Stillstehen", and "The Judgment". He also was involved as a junior producer in international film and series projects. Among other things, in the preparation for the German-Italian co-production "Crescendo", the tax handling of "Suspiria" and a VR project by Terra Mater Studios. Furthermore, he produced and directed numerous short film projects and wrote some himself. He also directed some music videos as well. After working over a decade in the industry he co-founded in 2022 deriva Films. A young Berlin film production company whose vision is to create a creative environment in which directors, authors, producers, and filmmakers feel at home and can express themselves creatively. One of the long-term goals is to produce internationally high-quality films and series formats, to tell stories that want to be heard, from drama to comedy. From art-house to thriller.
