James Timphony

James Joseph Timphony , actor and elite distance runner from Los Angeles, CA. is the son of famed thoroughbred race horse trainer , Vincent Timphony, trainer of Inaugural Breeders Cup Classic winner "Wild Again". He is the grandson of international actor Robert H. "Bob Booth" , 1950s Star of 13 Japanese films for Toho and Toei studios , including "Muteki" with Toshiro Mifune. James is also the nephew of Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and writer Nick Kotz . He is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University in History where he was captain of the Cross Country and Track and Field team for two years , earning multiple honors and became an internationally ranked mountain trail runner after winning five Xterre races and the Mt Wilson Trail Race three times. A mixture of Japanese and Italian heritage allows James to be a diverse actor with an ear for different accents ranging from southern to British to middle Eastern. He is currently(2015) portraying Henry II in "Becket" on stage at the Complete Actors Place theater in Sherman Oals CA.
