Alma Andreescu

Romanian writer/director of "Must Love Kubrick" - nominated at TIFF Cluj 2018 Initially prepared for the UNATC film university in Bucharest but decided to study filmmaking in the UK, after which became part of the curating team at Student Film Festival London in 2012. Returned to Romania and joined Inversee Media, a commercial video production company with a few indie feature credits. Her short film "Must Love Kubrick" is a Romanian-British co-production which premiered at TIFF Cluj in 2018 and internationally in Batumi, Georgia, followed by Oaxaca, Mexico. It is being distributed by Short International Ltd. in the US and Europe. Other experience includes production assistance for an international Shakespeare project and assistant to a German theatre director for a play at Nottara Theatre Bucharest.
