Aafreen Rachael Vaz was born in Mumbai, India on 23rd December 1990 to Calisto and Lucy Vaz. At the age of 11 Aafreen moved with her family to Auckland, New Zealand where she received her first big break as a contestant on New Zealand's Next Top Model. After studying in Dunedin, Aafreen chose to relocate to India to pursue a medical degree. During this time she competed in the 2015 Femina Miss India pageant where she was 1st runner up. She then competed as the 2016 Miss Supranational Asia and Oceania. Following a successful modeling career Aafreen decided to return to her studies and became a registered medical doctor in 2019 she also starred in the 2018 film We Didn't Kill Mia. As well as working towards her Australian Medical Certification, Aafreen is also working as a motivational speaker in both New Zealand and India.
