Justin Samenfeld is a widely-known carpenter/day player in the Los Angeles Film scene. He is often called-in for emergencies and quick-striking of sets, as he is one of the fastest carpenters in town. Also, he prefers to work long hours in short bursts, and take time off in-between so he can work on other things. Someone who prefers difficult commercials, tight deadlines, overtime, and working in high-stress/high-speed environments, who is known for his ability to learn and work quickly and efficiently, he is welcomed on multiple crews but prefers to take different commercial gigs as they tend to be very challenging, pay much more, and present him with multiple opportunities to learn new skills and meet new people. He is known largely for his pleasant attitude even in high-stress situations, and is often referred to as "smiley" by those he works with. Mr. Samenfeld has his own truck, a full double set of tools for himself and someone else if they need, and is basically a one-stop-shop for everything construction or art-related in the film biz. He has even been known to work as a photo assistant for multiple photographers, with a vast understanding of lighting, grip, and electrical technologies as well. Justin is also a proficient painter, but tends to prefer and lean towards construction. Justin Samenfeld has displayed handiness, punctuality, and proficiency in multiple different facets of the art department throughout his career, and remains in very high-demand. So-much-so that he never appears to be searching for work and is actually forced to turn down many intersecting jobs. It's unfortunate that commercials cannot be listed on this page, because its likely you've seen dozens of commercials filmed in Los Angeles containing his personal touch, and that realm is where he tends to thrive. It's a small group of people in the industry, but some of it's best. Commercials are shot quickly and without mercy. They are undoubtedly the fastest-paced and most difficult area in which to work. Mr. Samenfeld always shows up an hour early, always breaks a sweat, and takes his seldom, short-lived 'smoke breaks' very seriously. Always willing to stay late, and widely-known as a team-player, he respects and is extremely helpful and generous to his fellow crew mates, but shows little interest in fame, credits, or celebrities.
