Joseph Francis Massa is an American actor, writer, and director. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut to Theresa Massa, a police officer, and Joseph Massa Sr., a flooring manufacturer. His father is of Italian and Greek descent, and his mother is of Sicilian ancestry. Joe grew up in West Haven, Connecticut. He has one younger sibling, Christian Massa. Joe graduated college in 2015, with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. After scoring well on the LSAT, he intended to continue his education at law school but instead dedicated his time to acting. In April of 2016, Joe and his brother Christian co-wrote and created their first short film 'Pressure'. The film was accepted to several film festivals nationwide and premiered at the Regal LA Live on October 7, 2016. Most recently, Joe created the compelling web docuseries 'My Suicide Story', which features actual survivors of attempted suicide who share their stories of survival, and ultimate triumph, over their suicide attempts. The series has been praised for its ability to offer a raw and unbiased look into the minds of those suffering from suicidal ideations and for raising awareness for those who suffer from the same thoughts. The series has garnered national attention and has been featured by several news outlets across the nation.
