Helen McNulty was born in Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland in 1980. She is an artist and storyteller and performer. During the period from 1999 to 2006, she lived in Leicester in the UK where she performed with a improvised comedy group 'Bachman Turner Improvise'. During her time there she wrote and performed theatre works in The Y Theatre in Leicester and in the ...seen... Live Art Festival. In 2007 she moved to Dublin, Ireland and here she co-founded a theatre company producing contemporary Polish theatre in both English and Irish languages. The theatre company, Polish Theatre Ireland was founded alongside Ania Wolf and Kasia Lech. During this time, her visual art was exhibited in Ireland, UK and Norway. McNulty now lives in Wicklow in Ireland with her husband (Visual Artist David Eager Maher) and their daughter. She runs a small intimate storytelling evening in the Wicklow hills and is a painter.
