Chelsea is an documentary filmmaker and writer based in Vancouver, British Columbia. From 2012 to 2014, she worked as a researcher and art director for a major documentary television series for the CBC, Eden Channel and Terra Mater called "Wild Canada", which blended wildlife stories with dramatic re-enactments from Canadian history. She also contributed to the "Wild Canada" App for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, a visually stunning and interactive digital "coffee table book". In 2015, she co-produced a one-hour documentary, "Spirit Bear Family", for CBC's 'The Nature of Things with David Suzuki'. This film follows the fabled animal known as the Spirit Bear, a rare white-furred black bear, through a year in its life in the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia. From 2015 to 2017, Chelsea worked as an assistant producer for the CBC Television series "The Wild Canadian Year", a five-part legacy series which explores Canada's extraordinary wildlife through the lens of its four distinct seasons. She also co-wrote and co-produced the "Summer" episode of "The Wild Canadian Year", and helped create much of the digital content for the interactive website that accompanies the series. Since 2016 she has also been working on an IMAX wildlife documentary (being released in 2019). More details and the title of the project to be released soon.
