American actor Lee Harmon was born Andrew Steven Harmon on November 13th 1976 in Quantico, Virginia to parents Dan and Margie, who were both serving in the United States Marine Corps. Not long after his birth, Lee's parents finished their term of service in the military and moved to his father's hometown of Portsmouth, VA. Lee was raised by a loving father along with the help of his paternal grandparents, Lee and Mae Harmon. The trio had a very big influence in Lee's life and thought him all the values of being a southern gentleman, such as patriotism, honor, honesty, manners, and respect for your elders. Upon graduation from Churchland High School in 1996 Lee enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served his country as a soldier during the late 90's. After returning home from his military experience Lee worked in the construction field for over a decade before he found a way into his childhood dream of acting in 2011. This happened by chance when he answered an add on Craigslist. From there his passion grew and with the encouragement of his family he continued to perform in small local productions and attended school at night to study the art of acting. In October of 2013, Lee moved to Los Angeles to pursue a legitimate career in the entertainment Industry and it wasn't long before he landed his first role in the feature film Chronic alongside Tim Roth. It was this performance that earned Lee the opportunity to become a member of the Screen Actors Guild. In June of 2015 Lee joined SAG/AFTRA and upon registering with the union he was ask to chose his professional name. As he stood there considering a response, Lee remembered his grandfather who passed away just before Lee moved to Los Angeles. Lee then began to reflect on the memories and encouragement his grandfather had given him to chase his dreams and pursue acting,... after a brief moment, a heartfelt smile began to show and he then replied, "Lee Harmon".
