Arisael Rivera was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to Aida and Juan Rivera. When he was only 2 his family moved to the Bronx, New York where he grew up. Arisael was first introduced to theatre after being cast as Charlie Brown in "A Charlie Brown Christmas" in fifth grade. He was the recipient of the American Theatre Wing Scholarship for Acting . He received his BA in Theatre Arts from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah . While in Utah he co-founded New Play Project, a non-profit theatre company that produced original works. After receiving his Bachelors in 2007 he went on to receive his MFA in Acting from The New School for Drama in New York City. Arisael appeared in several plays while at The New School including "King Henry VI" and "Woyzeck". He also appeared in New York Theatre Workshop's performance of "Holy Crab!" by Zhu Yi. His television debut was in December 2012 as "Gil Perez" in the Investigation Discovery program "Fatal Encounters."
