While in college, Mary did some acting and film studies, but never really expected to end up in Film and Television. She has been a radio announcer or "DJ" at many New Orleans stations over the course of her radio career. She also worked at 2 stations in Denver during college. Formats she has DJ'd include Classical, Rock, Country, Jazz, Oldies, Classic Rock, Alt Rock, Smooth Jazz and Talk. The last stage gig Mary had was as Mrs. McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie with a community theater group. She sort of stumbled into film and television work after sharing a casting call with her listeners on WNOE, and then deciding to go herself. She was cast in an Edie Izzard vehicle called The Riches, and Izzard was so nice to her that she was hooked! That was March of 2006 and she has been active in the business ever since, having portrayed the mom from the family that rescues the star of Parker, a temptress bar fly in The Dunning Man & God's "Trashy Blonde Girlfriend" in season 3 of AMC's Preacher. She also had a starring role in The Avalanche's music video for Frankie Sinatra. Mary continues to DJ at local country station 101.1 FM WNOE, where she has spent many years on air. She's a wife and mom who has various other jobs including working for Flashmob NOLA as a dancer for various corporate and private gigs around New Olreans. Mary does singing telegrams for the NOLA franchise of Eastern Onion too. She even substitute teaches a bit for Jefferson Parish Schools. Mary can be seen dancing all over New Orleans at the many music festivals in the area, most of which she volunteers at as well.
