Abigail Jayne Martin

Abigail-Jayne Martin is an award winning actress who is passionate about telling stories. As well as acting Abigail also works as a model and a presenter. Abigail's film Beyond Redemption - Space Captain premiered at Hoyts cinema in 2014 where she played a lead role and won an award for best leading actress for her role as 'girl bot' in the Australian Screen Industry Network (ASIN) Awards. Abigail has been acting and modeling since she was at school where she completed 3 years N.C.E.A Drama before going on to complete acting studies at the University of Waikato in New Zealand, since moving to Australia she now continues to take short courses to continue her learning and acting skills. Abigail is no stranger to the independent film industry playing lead and featured roles in many local feature films and short films. Abigail has also stared in web series and documentaries. The roles she is cast for range from 'girlfriend' girl next door, to mother, wife and police woman. She has found strength in comedy and continues to be cast in professional comedic roles. Abigail is very busy being a real wife and mother of two children. In her spare time she performs at children's parties where she is a professional face painter, balloon twister and performer. She keeps fit by running and boxing classes. She has completed a Bachelor of science at the University of Queensland majoring in marine biology and zoology, she has a real love for all animals especially her little fluffy Maltese, Poppy. Originally from New Zealand Abigail has made a successful life in Australia and hopes to one day star opposite Leonardo Dicaprio as she is convinced she is his biggest fan!
