After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business and an Associate of Science in Recording Arts from Full Sail University, Rocco hit the ground hard and has since been involved in countless media productions wearing multiple hats including screenwriting, executive producing, acting, sound design, and almost everything in between. In 2020, Rocco teamed up with Kyle Stroud and Keanu Mayo to launch Carte Blanche, a film finance and production company where he consumed the position of Chief Content Officer working on films such as Where Are You (Anthony Hopkins, Madeline Brewer), Lansky (Harvey Keitel, Sam Worthington), As They Made Us (Dustin Hoffman, Candace Bergen), Acidman (Thomas Haden Church, Dianna Agron), On Our Way (Jordana Brewster, James Badge Dale), Asking For It (Vanessa Hudgens, Ezra Miller) [uncredited], Private Property (Ashley Benson, Shiloh Fernandez) [uncredited], My Dead Dad (Simon Rex, Steven Bauer) [uncredited], and the upcoming films Death Don't Have No Mercy and Mort in Sherman Oaks. In 2022, after two years of being one of the three founding members of the Carte Blanche outfit, Rocco parted ways to establish his own production companies Miraj and PH8. Some of his other highlighted achievements include starring in the highest-rated ESPN short film ever aired and working at 1492 Pictures under Chris Columbus (Harry Potter, Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire) where he once stated, "it's quite frankly shocking that someone your age wrote something this good," in a 2007 email regarding the first screenplay Rocco had ever written-- Guilty Conscience. Dante Spinotti (Heat, L.A. Confidential, The Last of the Mohicans) once expressed, "you're making me rethink the way I shoot movies," in a 2020 conversation regarding Rocco reframing Spinotti's shots in a recutting of Now Is Everything, which secured his position as the Editor and a Producer on the film that evolved into Where Are You. After a regular workday, Rocco can be found catching a double-feature at either the New Beverly Cinema or the American Cinematheque in Los Angeles. Being a storyteller, watching a film is his favorite pastime when he's not making one. "Filmmaking, and entertainment as a whole, is a collaborative effort and I'm proud to include within my circle some of the most talented people in the industry. It's absolutely inspiring, and at the same time completely terrifying. I love it." - Rocco Bovo
