Kat is a native Texan; born and raised in Houston. Growing up, she spent almost all of her time outside of school either dancing or practicing rhythmic gymnastics. She reached her goal of being on the U.S. National Team at the age of 15 and moved to the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY, to train for the World Championships during her sophomore year of high school. She then received a dance scholarship to Chapman University in Orange County, CA, but decided to switch her focus to acting and ended up graduating with a BA in Theatre. Her dream of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader brought her back to Texas, and after dedicating a year to training she landed a spot on the team and spent the following year cheering for America's Team. She's always been a country girl at heart and currently resides out in the boonies of Texas where she loves having horses & cows for neighbors. She's always been an animal lover and after fostering over twenty pups through Dallas Pets Alive, she finally got two of her own (a Vizsla named Major and Golden Doodle named Wrigley). She spends a lot of her free time hanging with them and enjoying the outdoors; she also recently discovered a new passion for teaching and spends about 4 hours a day teaching kids in China how to speak English through an online school. She thinks that their smiling faces are an awesome way to get the day started even if it does mean being on China time!
