Byron Wylder

Originally from Hobart, Tasmania, Byron spent much of his childhood fascinated with the craft and potential of filmmaking and begun writing and directing in his early teens. His style is inspired heavily by genre and audience expectations of tropes. He has directed commercials for Sanitation Station, TLAP South Australia and Tassal Salmon as well as video content for Garnier, General Electric, Waratah Fencing and ANZ. He has also directed music videos for independent artists in the Sydney region and short-form content, including horror short "First Response" which was shortlisted for the Bloodfest Festival 2020. As a director/producer of music videos and commercial content, Byron is also writing and developing feature film projects with a focus on original, grounded, Australian screen stories.
