After attending Laine Management Theatre Workshop, more TV work started to pick up. During February, 2010, Darryl featured in a Homebase commercial filmed at Carlisle train station in Cumbria. He was chosen out of 300 extras to appear as a painter & decorator. Later that same year, Darryl landed his first minor speaking role in TV's longest running soap Coronation Street (1960), playing the part of 'Sparky'. During this time, he also worked on other TV shows such as Mine All Mine (2004) and Channel 4's Hollyoaks (1995). Over the past several months of working in both TV & screen, Darryl has taken a keen interest in script-writing. For showcase performances, Darryl has written, directed & starred in his own short stage pieces. Audiences have watched his difference in stage presence from both comical & dramatic scenes, taking on the many different roles of characters from both stage & screen.
