Heather Lynn Lannan (Stars Fell on Alabama, Stay) grew up in central Georgia singing, dancing classically, acting in plays and musicals, and writing music. Her father, Bernard, is a successful IT engineer for the Air Force and is Japanese, Irish and English. Her mother (Patricia Erler) was a physical therapist and then focused on raising four children, becoming the ultimate home-maker. She is of American Indian and German ancestry. Heather completed her degree in voice performance, focusing on opera, training as a mezzo-soprano. She spent time on stages in Italy, during her time with La Musica Lyrica, training with different international coaches. Competing in 'campus idol' at her university and staging a Chicagoesque version of 'Fever' (Peggy Lee) helped her to arrive at the realization that acting was as much a passion for her as singing. Heather has had principal bookings for Food Network, American Standard, Bridgestone Tires, O'Charley's, Ancient Nutrition, CMT and more. She was selected as a hair model for Nick Arrojo's (What Not to Wear) visit to Nashville, TN and was a featured model of a signature haircut in 2017. Heather's produced award winning short films now available on Prime, TV commercials and digital media, and has co-directed music videos. She also released a single in October of 2019, a cover of Scarborough Fair, with the skilled and talented musicians Scott Mulvahill and David Howley (We Banjo 3). You can also see her in Tucker Beathard's music video of 'You Would Think (You'd Think of Me)' and Dierks Bentley's 'Gone'. Lannan has also dipped her toes into activism, acting in and helping produce/coach two creatively staged productions of the critically acclaimed play The Vagina Monologues, by Eve Ensler. She worked closely with the Director, singer/songwriter Stevie Rae Stephens (American Idol Season 12). She envisions herself continuing strongly with acting, producing, and working on new collaborative singing projects all while furthering her interests and passion in activism, volunteering and humanitarian efforts. Her hobbies are writing, running, trying new things (skydiving, etc.), traveling, finding interesting thrift-stores in cities she visits, dancing and playing with her nieces and nephew.
