Mars Williams, actress, playwright and poet started acting at the age of 11 years old. Mars made her first television debut portraying a young Latoya Jackson on Saturday Night Live with host and musical guest Janet Jackson. Since her television debut Mars went on to book several national commercials, promos and voice-overs. Mars also landed a role in feature film "Newlyweeds". Mars appeared in several short films, including a lead role in "Video" which was awarded the Paul Robeson Award for Best Short Film. Mars also booked a lead role in the movie "The Rest of Us" directed by Linda G. Mills and acclaimed actress and producer Mary Stuart Masterson. Growing up in the small town of Linden New Jersey, Mars found many ways to be artistic whether it was through dance, gymnastics, writing, or acting she made a point to be creative. In her journey as an Artist, Mars strives to inspire a generation of creatives just like her to write stories from their struggles, because no matter what you've gone through there is someone out there going through the same thing and your creative outlet can help them overcome. In the words of Mars's acting coach Anthony Abeson, it is her job to speak and perform for the Voiceless, That will be her biggest accomplishment. It's her personal legend.
