Actor, Leland Smith, a New York City native, brings every character he plays to life. He's proud of the acting training he's received and his ability to tell the story of each script in the most honest way possible. An expressive face, a quick wit, and a broad prospective on life are all part of what makes Leland Smith the actor he is. His passion and ability transcend his 5' 9" frame and young appearance. There's no role too big or small for Leland to take on. He's played characters ranging from a priest named Roger Schmidt to a loud mouthed barber named Rahim. Acting professionally since 2012, Leland's work can be seen in various films and television commercials. These include Disney's Anybody Can Dance 2, as well as countless indie films. Leland also starred in numerous television commercials, including a comedic one, which aired during the 2015 March Madness playoffs, and quickly became a viral internet sensation. His athletic lifestyle and physique lead him to being UFC World Champion, Jose Aldo Junior's body double in his promotional commercial for his historical fight against Connor McGregor. Although, he loves being in front of the camera, Leland is no stranger to the stage. His acting roots lie in the heart of the theatre. Early on in his career, he played the lead in several popular productions. One of which includes Richard Wright's Native Son, in which he portrayed the deeply troubled and ferocious main character, Bigger Thomas. Leland believes a healthy body and mind can take you as far as you want to go. He attributes his blossoming career as an actor to this attitude and to his eagerness to keep learning. Along with the ability to fully be submerged in the moment of the scene, he sees his work as a journey for himself, and for his audience. "All you can bring to a character is what you have inside."
