Adam Joseph Kassel (born October 6th, 1992) is an American screenwriter and producer. He was born in Westwood, New Jersey and grew up in nearby Dumont. His family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, while Adam was still in high school. There, he attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he studied film production. Adam worked briefly as a swimming instructor prior to starting in film and television at the age of 21. He has served as both producer and assistant director for a number of short-subject films and music videos, including Love Pyre (for Jesse Pino and the Vital Signs), While My Guitar Gently Weeps (for The Beatles' 'LOVE'), Get Wed Soon (2016), Cheat Day (2016), Dear Depression (for Natalie Cadet), An Interruption (2017), Boyana (2018) and Sham Pain (for Five Finger Death Punch). Adam also served as production coordinator for the critically-acclaimed short film Wonderland (directed by Tiffanie Hsu), as well as production manager for the award-winning horror picture Trivia Night!; both in 2015. In 2016, Adam moved to Los Angeles, California. He would also go on to produce his first proof of concept for a potential web series titled 'Samaritans', written by Aaron North Roberts. In June, Adam became the youngest city producer for the annual Las Vegas 48 Hour Film Project in of its eleven year existence, but by the following January, Adam had stepped down in order to focus on more personal projects. Throughout the spring and summer, Adam worked alongside It's A Laugh Productions in filming the second season of Disney Channel hit Bizaardvark. By early fall, Adam had reached negotiations to co-produce his first independent feature-length film, a comedy-drama titled Banging Lanie, which commenced principal photography the following February. Also in February, Adam made his directorial debut from a script he also wrote in comedy short film, Upper Hand. Over the next two years, Adam would continue working as Production Assistant for both films and television shows, such as NBC's Timeless, Facebook's Sorry for Your Loss and Apple TV's For All Mankind, as well as NCIS: LA for CBS and The Forever Purge. Prior to the worldwide pandemic, Adam would dabble in both Production Coordinating and the Art Department. This would lead to him working as Production Health Coordinator for a multitude of different programs as part of Hollywood's reopening, including the Olivia Wilde film 'Don't Worry Darling', as well as the second season of HBO's Euphoria and the final season of Succession. In 2022, Adam made his professional acting debut in HBO's The Idol, playing a lot security guard opposite Lily-Rose Depp.
