Munsur was born in Bangladesh and arrived to the UK at the age of two. He grew up in East London, witnessing first hand the social, economical and political change. He went to a Church of England school, while after school hours he studied Arabic and Bangla. He graduated with honors in 'B.A. Film and Broadcast Production' and shortly set up his film production company in 2003, since then he has worked alongside global US, UK and Bollywood names. He has also produced various documentaries and short films discussing social issues such as policing, knife crime to gang violence. Munsur is the Founder and CEO of Limelight Film Awards, an initiative to identify and celebrate emerging film talent. Limelight is one of the largest independent short film awards ceremony attended by over 500 film makers, media personalities and celebrities in London. With 12 film categories and a £10, 000 production award, Limelight is paving the way in identifying emerging British film makers while helping strengthen the industry. It is now recognised by national and international organisations and educational institutions. In 2012 he was invited to meet HRH Prince of Wales as a successful local social entrepreneur. Munsur was also honored to officially open the media suite for Tower Hamlets College. Munsur wrote, directed and produced his first international feature film Shongram (2014). The film features an international cast and crew and including acclaimed writer/script editor Billy Mackinnon (Piano, Hideous Kinky with Kate Winslet).
