Robert T. Christensen, also known as "Todd Christensen" was born in Carbondale, Illinois and moved to Macomb and then Kankakee, Illinois before moving permanently to Paw Paw, Michigan where he maintains his home on Lake Cora in Southwest Michigan, where he actually grew up and then purchased his child-hood home after his parents divorced and remarried. Robert Christensen began his acting career at age 13 when he performed as the "Sheriff" in Huckleberry Fin at the Paw Paw Village Playhouse and then another Co-Starring role in The Creepy Custard Horror Show. Before leaving High School he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1986 and served active duty during Desert Storm in 1991 and a combat tour in Afghanistan in 2009-2010. His entire military career was in the U.S. Army Reserve. While enlisted; he served as a Combat Advisor to the Afghanistan National Army, Infantryman, Combat Medic, and Drill Sergeant. During his adult life he began his Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services career in 1988 and spent the majority of his public service career as a Public Safety Officer in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The largest combined Police and Fire agency in the world! While employed in Kalamazoo he served on the departments SWAT Team- Hostage Rescue Unit, Field Training Unit, Community Policing Unit, Honor Guard, and was an Advisor/Mentor to the agencies Explorer Post that trains and mentors young adults who aspire to become Police Officers. Although, the majority of Robert Christensen's professional life has been with the criminal justice system he found many avenues to pursue his acting goals while starring in many documentary related specials relative to Police work through local and national media outlets. In particular, he starred in an episode of Forensic Files, TRU TV- "The Plastic Puzzle" and continued his acting profession through radio interviews, voice-over work, print, and internet recruiting commercials. While in Michigan he was represented by Unique Models and Talent, Grand Rapids, Michigan. In addition to his full-time job in Kalamazoo, he worked for 15 years at the Kalamazoo Regional Police Academy in the capacity of "Drill Sergeant" and instructed Police Tactical skills specific to subject control, ground fighting, and arrest procedures. Robert Christensen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University and is also a member of the Los Angeles based organization: Veterans in Film and Television. After his 25 years of service he retired from the City of Kalamazoo in April 2012 and has since moved to Los Angeles to begin his second career and life-long dream of working in the entertainment industry as professional actor.
