A Meisner-trained actor and ordained Rabbi, Yisrael Dubov has charted an unorthodox pathway for himself in the entertainment industry. Dubov - the son of noted Chabad Rabbi Sholom Dubov - left behind an expected career as a community & religious leader in his native Florida in order to pursue a life in the arts in Los Angeles. In 2020, Yisrael earned the Best Supporting Actor nomination by the Valley Theatre Awards for his role as Detective Noel Crawford in "LA Horror Stories: Red Meat", directed by award-winning playwright/director/actress April Littlejohn, head of Fuzzy Bottoms Theatre. Dubov has been a member of the Fuzzy Bottoms troupe since 2018. While screen acting is his primary focus, Yisrael will always have a soft spot for the Theatre and will remain a part of Fuzzy Bottoms for as long as he can. Never straying too far from his roots, Dubov's spirituality factors into his decision making process when choosing which projects to develop.
