Andrej Boka, director and screenwriter, was born on January 10, 1985 in Subotica, Serbia. He graduated from The International Marketing department at Business College in Belgrade. Andrej was interested in photography and film for as long as he can remember. From his early student years, he kept writing scripts and filming, collaborating with his friends for the sake of brining his numerous ides to life, until he filmed his first awarded low budget short movie "33rd Day" (33. dan). This dark comedy and a psychological story about how people's obsessions and misguided believes can ruin lives and have tragic consequences, opened the gates to the world of film festival success for Andrej's film projects. Besides "33rd Day" wining The Best International Short Comedy award at the "New York International Independent film festival", New York, USA in 2008, the release of his new project still managed to raise the bar sky-high. In November 2012, the premiere of Andrej's second highly rewarded low budget short film "The Tale of the Wall Habitants" takes place and becomes a widely appreciated project not only by the audience but by the competent authorities in this field of art. This short fantasy about how a conflict between doors and windows is threatening to escalate and bring destructive consequences, which is actually a poignant metaphor for human insecurities and vanity, within a year after its premiere won a significant number of rewards - Grand Prix award at "Jozef Egri" Film Festival, Backa Topola, Serbia; Award for Best experimental film and Award for Best music at "Belgrade documentary and short film festival", Belgrade, Serbia; Grand Prix and Audience award at "Golden Anteater", Lublin, Poland; Special mention at "A Film for Peace Film Festival", Gorizia, Italy; Melies D'Argent award at "Grossman Film & Wine Festival", Ljutomer, Slovenia; Best SF film award and Audience award at "Trash Film Festival", Varazdin, Croatia; Award for Best movie and Award for Best special effects at "Festival Srpskog Filma Fantastike", Belgrade, Serbia; Award for Best regional film at "Filmski Front Film Festival", Novi Sad, Sebia. Andrej is involved in several projects at the moment and he is working on his new short film which will be released in 2014.
