Patrick Shannon

Patrick Shannon is a film and music video director of First Nations (Haida) ancestry from Haida Gwaii, BC, Canada. He is known for A Golden Voice (2020), Dawn Of The Red (2013), Downcast (2011), and 2 Minutes for Slashing (2011). Raised by Haida elders in the village of Skidegate, Patrick was surrounded by storytellers and artists that shaped his perspective on Western Canadian society and instilled his drive to tell stories. After nearly a decade working in the Vancouver film industry, Patrick began his career directing music videos then soon moved into indigenous focused documentaries and short films.
