Branden Chowen

Branden has earned both a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan) and West Virginia University (Morgantown, West Virginia) respectively. He has spent a great deal of time in the classroom studying theatre, and even more time on the stage, where he always strives for professionalism, and believes in finding the emotional life of characters by taking risks and playing. He spent three years teaching an introduction to acting course at West Virginia University, as well as a film history course, which covered the French New Wave film movement to today's digital push. As well as acting, Branden has been writing about film online since 2010. He is a frequent contributer to Inside Pulse Movies, and is proud to call Cinefessions - where virtually of his film criticism and commentary can be found - his home. Branden has appeared in two independent films, and also has experience with industrials with his work in a management training video for West Virginia University. He has recently helped co-authored multiple short film scripts that will put him in the position of actor, director, and cinematographer at various points. Since graduating from West Virginia University, Branden has moved back home to Detroit to spend time with his family, and begin a career as a professional artist, whether it is acting on stage, in film, or writing.
