Mert Sirin is a Turkish/Canadian actor, model and writer. He was born in Istanbul, Turkey to Aydanur Ersoy and Levent Sirin. Both his parents are Turkish descent with some Greek ancestry. After his fourteenth birthday in Istanbul, Mert moved to Vancouver, Canada. He then attended an International High School called Bodwell High School where he learned the true preciousness of multiculturalism. Mert always had an interest in the spotlights by striving to be the top athlete in his school by not only being the captain of his high school basketball team, but also by competing in the school's soccer team. After two years in university and a very inspirational encounter with his Documentary Film Arts teacher, Mert took an interest in acting and directing. He then went on to study in a full-time intensive program in Vancouver Acting School learning about stage, film as well as voice acting. Mert's parents are the biggest inspirations in his life. His father Levent was a former body builder, a four-time champion of Turkey. His mother Aydanur being a fitness instructor for over twenty years and a fitness legend in Istanbul, Turkey working with various celebrities and appearing on multiple talk shows. Her constant will to work and study in nutrition, health and aligning body with the mind always helped him to seek out to be the best person he can be everyday. Mert then went on to creating his own Podcast show called "Life Conversations with Mert" which is available on iTunes at the moment, climbing the ranks everyday. He talks about the importance of helping one-self in order to begin helping, bettering the world. He always looks to inspire through his work whether it's acting, writing or podcasting. He lives in Vancouver, B.C. and is building his resume by acting for film, commercials and modeling.
