Marco Franco is a Brazilian-born actor, and musician of Italian, and Polish descent. His skills include his broad physical/emotional characterization and musical abilities. He is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, California. Marco was born in Curitiba, Brazil, where he lived until his early adolescence. As a child, Marco performed constantly, for everyone. Since his mother was a teacher at his elementary school, he had to learn how to be funny in school without getting in trouble. He got involved in the arts at a very early age, and recalls listening to anything from Pavarotti to CCR in his father's old Ford. Marco's childhood consisted of constant artistic experimentation, including movie making, playing the piano, dancing, and exploring his talents through different outlets. When only 12, after a school project, Marco started making short movies with a classmate. By the age of 15, he had made a compilation of about 20 original shorts. Since stand-up comedy was starting to popularize in Brazil at the time, Marco started recording DVDs with his short films and taking them to Brazilian artists at the end of their performances. One of these actors happened to be a very popular and talented artist in his city, Fábio Silvestre, who invited Marco to participate in a 3-minute open-mic contest. That was when Marco came to realize that performing was what he wanted to do more and more often, and so started doing stand-up and improv in his city, whilst still going to high school. A year after his debut, he had already done about fifty shows and was starting to get known in the comedy scene in Brazil for being such a young talent. He had started writing a comedy book which he had the intentions of publishing, but was interrupted by an opportunity of moving to the United States with the idea of deepening his knowledge in the arts. A couple of months later, at only 16 years old, he took the first plane of his life to Bay City, Michigan, where he lived for a year and graduated from High School. He, then, went to Los Angeles on his own where he studied cinema, theater and psychology at the Los Angeles City College. So that he could afford a better drama school at the time, Marco started working the graveyard shifts as a busboy, valet, and driver. He auditioned and was accepted to The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, America's first and foremost acting school known for its history on training Oscar-winning actors such as Grace Kelly, Anne Hathaway, Robert Redford, and Adrien Brody. In 2014, after graduating from the school at the Dolby Theatre, the home of The Oscars, Marco was invited by director Jules Aaron to perform in the restoration comedy "The Gamester" at Theater 40 in Beverly Hills. The play had a 5-week run and got raging reviews. Then, Marco participated in several movies still in Hollywood, from shorts to feature films, while keeping several side jobs, including kids parties entertainment. Before going to Brazil, he quarantined around San Francisco with a focus on deepening his knowledge in music, cinema and yoga. Marco is a learning enthusiast and enjoys exploring different outlets of expression such as writing and painting. He speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, and a very good Italian and continues refining his artistic talents through constant work and training. He has an enormous passion for music and besides the guitar, also plays the harmonica. Some of his strongest influences in acting include Johnny Depp and Al Pacino. In music, his biggest inspirations are among Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Brazilian musician Djavan. He currently trains and performs in his hometown Curitiba, Rio De Janeiro, and São Paulo. And is often interacting with colleagues in the business in Los Angeles for possible projects in the US. Written By: Leo Lasswell
