Nicholas Manting Brewer is an award-winning documentary storyteller and film editor based out of Los Angeles, CA. His primary research interests are visual & cultural anthropology, public health, oral history, and experimental documentary forms. His work has screened at film festivals, including Cleveland International, Heartland Film Festival, and Doc Edge. In 2017, he directed "Who We Are" a short-form documentary about the Heroin crisis in Southern California. He and animator Meg Simon were awarded the Bridge Arts and Science Alliance Grant to produce a short-form VR piece on the issue of Neonatal Abstinence. In May 2017, Forever Home, a short-form documentary film he co-edited, was shortlists for a BAFTA Student Award. Nicholas studied for his MFA at University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. He's an alumnus of New College of Florida, where he received his B.A. with a focus in Anthropology. He hopes to continue his education in Anthropology and research storytelling models.
