Rafael

Rafael was born on July 9, 1990 in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as Rafael Pereira da Silva. Rafael and his twin brother Fábio are professional footballers. He spent his youth career at Brazilian club Fluminense, who he joined when he was 11 years old, along with his brother. He then signed for English club Manchester United and joined them in January 2008, again along with his brother, and stayed there for the next seven years. In August 2015 he joined French club Lyon where he stayed for the next five years. In September 2020 he joined Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir F.K.
