Alex C. Askew attended Full Sail University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Film Production. He first caught the acting bug while a sophomore in high school where he had a supporting role in the play The Crucible. From that point on, Alex knew that he wanted to be an actor. It wasn't until 2012, Askew landed his most prominent role in Lifetime's Betty and Coretta featuring Angela Basset and Mary J. Blige. In this film, Askew portrayed religious leader, Minister Louis Farrakhan. When it comes to the craft of acting, Askew believes in three principles: being genuine, attentive, and embodying the character's soul. It's what he likes to call, "Riding the Wave." Alex continues to hone his craft through countless classes, workshops, and short films.
