Jason Bigart

Jason Bigart is a Digital Film and Multimedia Director/Editor. After spending over a decade working in multimedia film production, Jason has directed one feature film, "The Empty Throne", along with a short horror/thriller series called, "Dark Trepidation" which has done well in the film festival circuit. Working in post production as an editor, Jason strives to tell the story the way the director envisions while paying close attention to the little details such as color grading, background sound and ambience. Jason got his interest in film production after being a background actor for 3 years and getting on productions such as Iron Man 3 as a featured security guard and can also be seen in Fast and Furious 7 and Insurgent. Jason has also been in T.V. shows such as Revolution, Sleepy Hollow, Under the Dome, Eastbound and Down, Homeland, and Banshee. After that experience, Jason started making more films of his own as an independent film director and editor. Jason is the owner of Jay Big Productions and Empty Throne Films. Jason's professional experience is filming live Middle School and High School band concerts and editing for purchase DVD's to help raise money for the local school music programs to survive. Jason is also a Retired Master Sergeant of 20 years in the United States Air Force. He has been in the aviation field for 26 years and is employed as a Quality Control Inspector for Honda Aircraft Company LLC in Greensboro NC. If given the opportunity to make a living in the film industry, Jason would gladly leave aviation to pursue his dream to have a career in the film industry.
