Joshua Randolph Stallings was born July 2, 1991 in San Bernardino California to Carol Martin (née Franklin) and Stanley Stallings. He is of Mexican and Syrian descent from his mothers side, and Irish and Native American descent from his fathers side. He is the youngest of 3 children, having an older sister and an older half sister. At age 5, his family began noticing he sang along with many R&B singers, specifically taking a special adoration of the singer Brandy, in which he became a fan of the show "Moesha". His father at the age of 6 gave him his first album on cassette; Brandy's 1994 self-titled debut, and he told his mom "I want to do what she does". He spent years developing his vocal range, practicing harmony, melisma, and "runs", and eventually joined show choir and drama in freshman year of high school and stayed for 2 years before venturing into television and film acting; his "second love". AT age 17, he was cast as the youngest cast member to join an episode of "Knight Rider (2008)", and continued acting for 3 years before finished high school and starting a music career. In 2014, Stallings released his first mix-tape "Truth", which was later followed by his first official album release "The Art of Drowning" in 2020.
