Daniel "Danny" Slowik grew up in the warmth of south Florida, where he learned to scuba dive and fly airplanes. His initial foray into the field of entertainment was as a magician. With hopes of "being the next David Copperfield," Danny attended every performance of the illusionist, read every book on magic & illusions on the library shelves, and recorded every televised performance of a famous magician, be it Copperfield, Henning, or Blackstone. In high school, he joined the Drama Club, learned the technical aspects of live performance, and even enlisted the school's Physics teacher to help build some larger illusions. Attended the University of Central Florida, Danny worked for "the world's most famous mouse" on the now-closed Great Movie Ride. He performed as Tour Guide, Mugsy Tocatta (gangster), and Kid Durango (cowboy), as guests were taken "into the movies." He was also a skipper on the World-Famous Jungle Cruise, joining the likes of John Lasseter & Kevin Costner. Following graduation from the University of Central Florida, Danny enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Miami and accepted a job as Marketing Intern with Disney's Miami marketing group. Here, he learned "the business of show business" working such events as the Superbowl XXIX half-time show with Patti LaBelle & Tony Bennett (both of whom he says were exceptionally kind) and two of Disney's biggest international marketing events: Walt Disney World's 25th Anniversary and Walt Disney World's Latin America Press Event. Following graduate school, he became a theatre teacher with Broward County Public Schools, teaching the new generation of actors, directors, and producers. In 2021, he re-entered the field of professional entertainment with an appearance on Jay Leno's You Bet Your Life and several Miami-based film & television projects. All the while, his passions outside of entertainment remained scuba diving and aviation.
