Dominique Thaysen

Dominique Thaysen was born in Cape Town, South Africa, the youngest child of Shelley Thaysen (Author) and Shaun Thaysen. Thaysen received an education in ballet, tap, and contemporary dancing. Signed to Boss Models at the age of 12, as a child she worked as an actor and model in catalogs and international commercials. While in school Dominique studied dance and acting at the Waterfront Theater School for three years. She would appear in multiple college graduate MFA films while in High School. She attended AFDA for 2 years to further her studies of acting and make-up. She soon traveled to Los Angeles to pursue her dream full time in 2013 where she obtained a scholarship from The New York Film Academy. In 2014 she landed the role as a featured intern in the popular show The Mindy Project and has since gone on to be featured in multiple TV shows. These include Lethal Weapon, Why Women Kill, Ratched, and recently in 2022 - Mrs. American Pie and Reboot alongside Keegan-Michael Key.
