Hamad Alawar

Hamad Alawar graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts in Computer Animation from Miami International University of Art and Design. He was the first appointed to the Crime scene 3D visualization section in the Dubai police , which was the first of its kind in the Middle East. His first film, 'Once Upon A Seed' won the Dubai International Film Festival's Award for Best Emirati Talent in 2006. He also won,Distinguished New Employees from the Dubai government excellence award in 2007. In 2008, 'Hammer's and Nails' was screened in Gulf Film Festival and Dubai International Film Festival, A 3D animation short film. Hamad Alawar also worked on several productions and commercials one of which was United Tower's TV commercial screened on Al Rai TV and AlWatan TV. Having been taught and worked with industry leaders and artists in the animation sectors from companies like Pixar, ILM and , Hamad Alawar also participated in the spreading of animation in the region by teaching in the American University of Dubai as well as the initiative through training university graduates in the field. Alawar is pursuing a PhD degree at the University of Bradford, UK.
