Jean Nasser is an American LA local very active in the industry working not only as an actor, but also as a director, writer, influencer, and advocate for many organizations, including the platform Movikarma which touches base on many social impacts, Food for the Hungry Foundation, and always active and looking for ways to help the homeless community. As a director, he obtained his first milestone at the young age of 14, with his short Oliver, shot with only a smartphone. His second short, FLYTRAP, has already been screened on several film festivals including Peekskill, NY, and the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood (Indie Night). He also had the honor of being nominated for the NBC Emerging Director Program 2018. His most recent work is a psychological thriller web series titled UNDERTOW, which talks about many social issues such as; depression, suicide, self-harm, PTSD, eating disorders, and supporting the LGBT, homeless, and deaf communities. It'll be released this year 2020. He started studying screenwriting at AV College, but his love for the arts started when he was a little boy, and at the young age of 8, he started taking acting classes. At 10, he won an award for Best Drama Actor in the IMTA NY. As an actor, he has worked in many films, commercials, web series, and sitcoms. As a writer, he has written a variety of stories, short films, screenplays, and more. His first Novel as a co-writer, ill Shadows Book 1, is expected to be released in 2021. A YA (young adult) Series of Books under the dystopian gothic thriller genre, filled with dark secrets, mystery, romance, action-packed, and promising to be a fast-paced page-turner you don't want to miss. As a Los Angeles local, and a lover of the arts, he continues to work hard in the entertainment industry, improving his craft and on occasions producing his own content. Through his works, he is reflecting on the issues that are closing in on this world. His main goal is to lift people up with his stories and remind everyone that the pain and suffering are temporary, but faith lasts forever. He believes we can definitely plant some seeds into this world. The world just has to pay attention and be willing to make a change.
