Dave always wanted to be a Professional Wrestler since he first watched the 'World of Sport' in 1982. He started freestyle (amateur) wrestling in 1991 at the age of 11 at Kirkby Vikings. Believing this was the way into the world of professional wrestling he trained hard and won many championships as a child. He used to play football just for the fitness but then earned a football trial at Blackpool in 1997 and was offered a place afterwards but declined to follow his dreams of pro-wrestling. At the age of 19, while at a pro-wrestling camp, he realized that he enjoyed legitimate competition more. Had his first Vale Tudo bout in 2002 for £200 when he had just become a Dad and needed the money. He then won his first MMA Championship in 2003 (ISCF English Championship). Dave was the first person to fight in a Cage on a show in Liverpool, CFC 2004 winning against Simon Philips. Joined the Wolfslair in 2005 but spent most of his time there as a sparring partner for many UFC competitors. Was the first Liverpool-born fighter to get into The Ultimate Fighter house in 2009 (UK vs USA). Dave was the favorite to win the show but contracted a severe staph infection and also does not have any recollection of most of the show due to being prescribed Vicodin. Was injured while wrestling Cheick Kongo in 2009 while training for a fight with the UFC and was actually retired from that point. In 2011 was appointed as the WMKF England submission grappling coach for the World Championships. As his back had not long healed, he was able to compete and won 2 World Championships while there. Dave then became the first World Submission Grappling Champion in the UK. Made his fighting comeback I 2012, winning by submission in 1:12 of the first round. He is now Managed by Mike Clarke under the TFL banner. 2013 saw him portray a villainous henchman in 'A Hand to Play'.
