Joseph Ian Saletta

Joseph Ian Saletta was born a minute after midnight on July 2nd 1984, in California. His mother Irene Reschman from Los Angeles, Ca raised him a single parent, His father Salvatore Saletta lived in New York and only visited a few times during his upbringing. When Joseph "Joey" reached the age of 3, Irene moved Joseph and herself to Morro Bay, California where he spent most of his childhood. While in Morro Bay, Ca he went to Morro and Del Mar Elementary Schools, Joseph told his mother at 5 years old he wanted to be a movie star after seeing the film "Rain Man" in theaters. In 3rd grade he played as one of the Three Wise Men in a class Christmas play production, He would act out different characters daily, create elaborate scenes with his toy cars, and action figures, and would pretend that a camera was following him around in a his own new movie every day. After Elementary Joseph spent 7th grade home schooled and 8th grade in Chino Hills, California after moving with his Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Court Wroth. After settling back to Morro Bay, he attended Morro Bay high school until sophomore year taking a proficiency test to leave high school early. His I.Q. test was rated 124 at the time of his departure from high school. After high school Joseph worked a vast variety of jobs including, dish washer, prep cook, cashier, construction worker, shoe sales, landscaper, movie theater usher, gas station attendant, night bellhop and night auditor at resort hotels, Quite often playing different accents and characters with customers, guests, and different friends. Joseph has had an ability to mimic vocals and mannerisms his whole life, noticeably starting in elementary school when he spent summers with his cousins, and grandparents. He would take on the vocal intricacies of people, or cartoons/television personalities and vocalize them for later presentation. He extensively studied acting through books, and mental notation of film. Until going back to college and signed up for a theater acting class with instructor bree valle in 2008, quitting after the first day with self confidence issues due to himself being painfully shy in school. Joseph continued to work at a hotel until the economy crashed in 2009, leading to unemployment for the remainder of the year. He took his savings from his work and decided to leave his hometown and travel the United States for the summer that year. Across his travels he stayed in Texas, Washington, New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, taking a bus back to California from New York. During the travels he felt inspired and compelled to write a screenplay for a story that had been brewing in his mind during all the hours of traveling alone. After the tour of North America was over he fell into a depression. Joseph felt he needed to do something to prove to himself that he was serious about future endeavours in film, and after taking stock in what his girlfriend's father Stanley Jacques had relayed to him about life in the arts, he enrolled himself in school again, starting a film history class, and a directing for camera class. Still too shy to be filmed or attempt to enroll in acting again. His new instructor was Philip Valle, bree valle's husband. After a few semesters he was commended for his ability's as a director/student film maker, and continued on with his studies, producing 30 short, and student films in 2 years time, never submitting into a festival. Joseph started acting courses again, with a new confidence. Expressed by many as a "natural" actor, with profound understanding of dialectical inflections, emotional intellect, mimicking abilities and annunciation. Along with a smoldering screen presence, and imminently cast-able in numerous roles with varied creeds & nationality's. Showcasing a wide range of ability not just in the singular craft of acting, but in many aspects of independent film production respectively. As of September 2013 he is currently Non-Union without talent agency representation. Now studying with Aaron Metchik film acting instruction in Shell Beach, Ca.
