Daniel Komarek

Daniel Charles Komarek was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Daniel grew up in the suburb of North Royalton, Ohio. Growing up his family would rent dozens of movies each week sparking an Immediate interest in film. At age 12 Daniel and his brother Michael made their first feature length film using nothing but an old black and white surveillance camera and a VCR. What would materialize would be an epic shot on video martial arts horror film, inspired by the films of Lucio Fulci, Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee and the Shaw Brothers. This would eventually spawn the creation of their production company Video Nasty Productions. Over the years of making films Daniel and his brother Michael produced over 40 low budget martial arts, horror sci-fi and drama films, many of which are highly sought after by collectors due to their minimal distribution and release to the general public. It wasn't until 2019 when their cult horror film Demons of the Night (2008) was released to the public. As of 2019 Daniel is working on his much anticipated followup to Demons of the Night, set to be released in early 2020.
