Raised in Southern California, Blake first found a love for performance through music, singing in school choirs, and through athletics, playing hockey, lacrosse, and fencing. Growing up with a healthy fascination for medieval/fantasy stories, he finally came of age and earned his first stage acting and stunt experience at Medieval Times, where he was trained to ride horses and cross blades as part of their medieval jousting tournament. After having fought nightly in front of large crowds, Blake couldn't shake the will to perform. Parlaying his knowledge of classical music, he started singing and playing keyboards for a few local heavy metal groups, never getting far. Also missing the physical side of performing, he found the United Stuntman's Association's International Stunt School, where he was trained by David Boushey and a cadre of working stuntmen. Armed with their training, he soon found himself as a stunt performer in the feature "Brush With Danger," coordinated by his instructor Boushey. Since then, he also starred and co-wrote the student film "Metal Üp" and has worked on other small productions.
