Jerry Vahn Knight returned to his greatest passions; Acting and Music, after he sustained injuries during the beginning of the now infamous U.S Navy SEAL BUD/s class 228, which effectively ended his military career. After receiving an honorable discharge and completing his Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Contemporary Music, Jerry Vahn Knight jumped head first into the local New Mexico film industry. He quickly went from a Featured spot in the James Mangold directed CBS Television Pilot, "Vegas", to being cast in his first Major Motion Picture supporting role by none other than legendary Actor/Director Tommy Lee Jones, in his critically acclaimed international film, "The Homesman". After, "The Homesman", Jerry Vahn Knight was a supporting player on the Emmy nominated Docu-series, "Gunslingers", portraying a historical outlaw on the fourth episode entitled, "Bass Reeves- The Real Lone Ranger". Next, his supporting role in the, "The Miller Prediction" garnered him much praise as the film went on to be nominated, as well as winning a multitude of awards at several International film festivals, including the prestigious London International Film Festival. Jerry Vahn Knight's next big break came when he got the opportunity to star in, and write the video content for the successful digital marketing campaign, "The Gardener's Notebook", which served as a parody film trailer and vehicle for highlighting the 2016 collection of designer plants for the industry leading plant company, Monrovia. Most recently, Jerry Vahn Knight got the opportunity to work with another one of his heroes; Mr. Shane Black, who directed the Amazon Studios produced television pilot, "Edge". Jerry Vahn Knight was fortunate enough to play, "Young Josiah Hedges", the younger version of the lead and literary iconic character, "Edge", portrayed by Max Martini. While the show did not get picked up for a full season, it is rare that any actor finds themselves in the privilege of portraying a revered western genre-defining hero of a number one bestselling book series. Jerry Vahn Knight feels extremely honored to have found himself apart of not only these cult classic novels written by George G. Gilman, but also its enduring legacy that is directly responsible for inspiring countless creators and artists across a variety of mediums and platforms. Currently, Jerry Vahn Knight is hard at work, honing his craft and eagerly seeking all the wonderful opportunities that have opened up, and is graciously working to secure what is sure to be the next step in his career and future success.
