Roberto Doveris is a 32 years old filmmaker. He was Editor in Chief for five years at CinemaChile, the international agency to promote Chilean cinema in the world, and also runs his own company Niña Niño Films since 2010, where he has directed more than 40 music videos, several advertising campaigns but mostly focus in producing feature films. His first movie as director was "Las Plantas" (Plants, 2016), internationally premiered at Berlinale Generation 14+, where it won the Grand Jury Prix for Best Feature Film and a Special Mention from the Young Jury. Since then he has produced "Víctima Potencial" (Potential Victim, 2018), launched at Tallin Black Nights, and "El Príncipe" (Prince, 2019), premiered at Settimana Internazionale della Critica of the Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica of Venice, where the film won the Queer Lion Award. As director and producer he has participated at Nuevas Miradas of EICTV (Cuba), the Taller Colón of Fundación Typa (Argentina), Sanfic Industria (Chile), NALIP (Los Angeles), Lobo Lab (Mar del Plata), Berlinale Talents (Germany) and was invited to be part of the program Raymundo Gleyzer of INCAA (Argentina). He has been awarded at Encuentros Cartagena (Colombia), Bafici's BAL (Argentina) and in FicValdivia's AustraLab (Chile), and has attended the Marché du Film in Cannes, the Berlinale's EFM, the Locarno Industry Days, Docs for Sale at IDFA and Ventana Sur Film Market. As an editor, he has participated in the films "La mentirita blanca" (Little white lie, 2017), "Swing" (2018) and "Monstruo" (Monster, 2018). He has been invited to be part of the International Jury at Berlinale (Germany), Bafici (Argentine), La Orquídea Film Festival (Ecuador) and Visionär Film Festival (Germany).
