Jakob Hammermeier

American professional wrestler best known for his work for CHIKARA from 2010-2016 as Jakob Hammermeier. He trained under Ares (Marco Jaggi) and Allison Danger (Cathy Corino). He also competed for CWF Mid-Atlantic as Troy Brolin. His first on-screen appearance for CHIKARA was as an anonymous CHIKARA Wrestle Factory student who got thrown to the side by Eddie Kingston (Edward Moore) during his Respect Match with Claudio Castagnoli at the 2009 Season Finale "CHIKARA Three-Fisted Tales" on November 22nd. Debuted as the ring announcer for Die Bruderschaft des Kreuzes at the 2010 Season Premiere "CHIKARA A Touch of Class on January 31, 2010. He made his in-ring debut for CHIKARA at "CHIKARA Creatures of the Tar Swamp" on March 13, 2011 with a win over Green Ant. After the BDK collapsed at the end of 2011, he and Tim Donst soldiered on under the name until they abandoned it in June 2012. At "CHIKARA Aniversario: Never Compromise," June 2, 2013, Jakob turned against Donst after months of Donst mistreating him, hitting Donst with his Worldstar Punch, during Donst's match with ring announcer/commentator Gavin Loudspeaker. Following the shutdown, Jakob disappeared for a time. In the Wrestling Is.. promotions, he developed a new gimmick of the Polar Baron, the manager of the Bloc Party (Mr. Azerbaijan, the Proletariat Boar of Moldova and the Brown Morning of Belarus [who was destroyed by the Estonian Thunderfrog at "National Pro Wrestling Day 2014" and replaced by Prakash Sabar at "CHIKARA You Only Live Twice"]) He made his last appearance in this gimmick at "CHIKARA The World Is Not Enough," July 20, 2014, which saw the Baltic Siege (Thunderfrog/the Latvian Proud Oak/the Lithuanian Snow Troll) defeat the Bloc Party in a flag match. At "CHIKARA King of Trios 2014 Night I," September 9, 2014, 3Peck0 (3.0 ["Big Magic" Shane Matthews and Scott Jagged Parker] and Archibald Peck) defeated the BDK team of Ares, Nøkken and Dr. Cube. After the match, Nøkken attacked Ares and Cube unmasked to reveal the returning Jakob Hammermeier. Jakob then revealed that he held the Eye of Tyr and was using it to control Nøkken. This led to Ares leaving CHIKARA and Jakob becoming the new leader of the BDK. In 2015, Jakob was named one of the ten team captains for the season-long CHIKARA Challenge of the Immortals tournament. Along with BDK members Pinkie Sanchez and Nøkken, he drafted Soldier Ant for his team. They would end up 7th out of 10 in the standings. At the 2015 Season Finale "CHIKARA Top Banana," December 5, 2015, Soldier Ant faced Fire Ant in a match that stemmed from how evil incompetent Director of Fun Wink Vavasseur had switched Soldier from the Colony to the Swarm in 2012 and then to the Colony: Xtreme Force in 2013, leading to Soldier leaving CHIKARA, and returning in 2014 as a member of the Flood, the amalgamation of heel groups out to destroy CHIKARA. During the match, Jakob ran in to hit referee Derek Sabato with the Worldstar Punch, but hit Soldier instead. This appeared to break whatever control Jakob had over Soldier, since, for the first time since 2012, Soldier saluted Fire Ant. After Crown and Court (Princess Kimberlee, Jervis Cottonbelly and Los Ice Creams [Ice Cream Jr. and El Hijo del Ice Cream]) defeated the Wrecking Crew (The Devastation Corporation [Max Smashmaster/Blaster McMassive/Flex Rumblecrunch]/Jaka) in the finals of the Challenge of the Immortals, the Crew were shown talking with each other trying to figure out why they lost. Jakob showed up and led Jaka backstage. He would debut as the newest member of the BDK (by this point, Jakob, Pinkie and Jaka, as Nøkken had randomly left after he and Pinkie won the Tag Team Gauntlet at "CHIKARA King of Trios 2015 Night III"). Jakob feuded with perennial BDK nemesis Eddie Kingston over the unofficial title of "King of CHIKARA." Jakob left after the Infinite Gauntlet match at "CHIKARA The Distant Future" on May 7, 2016. He has also competed for GOUGE (Gimmicks Only Underground Grappling Entertainment), Premier Wrestling Federation (North Carolina), Premier Wrestling Xperience and Allied Independent Wrestling Federations. He is a former Premier Wrestling Federation Crystal Coast Openweight Champion and was the inaugural PWF Shinjiro Otani Openweight Champion.
