Mauricio Calderón Rico

(México, 1980). Mauricio studied film and has a Master's Degree in Screenwriting. Founding member of Colectivo Colmena, (Mexico, 1980). Mauricio studied film and has a Masters in Screenwriting. He is a founding member of the Colmena Collective, a production company made up of Mexican filmmakers who graduated from the Center, which explores collaborative forms of financing and film production, working together on each of their projects.. FONCA’s grantee in Mexico has participated in various international festivals with his short films “Arma Blanca” (2013) (White Weapon) and “Solo por el Fin” (2019) (Just for the Weekend) and “El cuervo y el Venado” (2021) (The Raven and the Deer). His debut film “Todos los Incendios” (2023) (All the Fires), a “coming of age” LGBT feature, participated in Cine Qua Non Lab, Guadalajara Talents Project Market, Ventana Sur's Copia Final, and won the PIANO Distribution Award at the Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund in Los Cabos Film Festival.
