Maria Vasilevna Poezzhaeva is a Russian stage and screen actress. Her artistic life began in figure skating. In 2008 she was accepted as a student at the renowned Moscow Art Theater School, having director Kirill Serebrennikov as her special teacher and mentor. In 2010 she made her screen debut in the television series "Voices" as Liza. Two years later she graduated from Moscow Art Theater School, was offered main roles in plays by Chekhov, and made her feature film debut in "Last summer in Chulimsk" directed by Victor Dement. Several main roles in movies followed, like "Corrections Class" (2014) , "He's a Dragon" (2015) and "V Mayakovsky" (2018).
