Flávia Carvalho

Flávia de Carvalho was born in Brazil and later moved to Portugal where she grew up as the youngest of four siblings - the rest of which became doctors. She was introduced to the arts at an early age, putting up plays as a kid to entertain the family. Flávia attended a German school in Lisbon and later graduated in graphic design with summa cum laude and also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. But Europe wasn't enough for her. She embarked on a journey to Los Angeles as a student of the Lee Strasberg Institute where she was taught by Marc Marno and David Strasberg himself in acting and filmmaking. Flávia then graduated with a master in film in Lisbon and became a professor at IADE - an arts and design school in Lisbon and started producing for Portuguese and US stage and TV. Her entrepreneurial spirit drove her forward to acquire renowned ScapeGoat Inc. aka Bode Expiatorio - a company with focus on business to business (B2B) immersive experiences which has become a leader in that field in its 20+ years of operation. Her screenplay debut "The Beauty Hunter" has internationally won many accolades, including Best Screenplay at the NY International Screenplay Awards and Rome International Movie Awards - and is in development by Flávia's production company Inaissance. Inassance has also formed an international co-production with Cassiel Cinema for the movie franchise "Allured" and other projects.
